RAMAKRISHNA MISSION LUMDUNG

Apropos the earnest request of the Arunachal Pradesh Government, the Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math had ultimately agreed to set up a new center in the District of East Kameng which will cater proper education for the children of the State. Apart from academic pursuit there will be some Vocational Trainings so that the youth of the locality may stand up on their own feet and become a true and valuable citizens of the Country.

Year 2017

A parcel of land was donated to Ramakrishna Mission by Natung Society of East Kameng District. And Ramakrishna Mission Lumdung, a Branch Center of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal was started with monks of Ramakrishna Math as administrative head.

Year 2018

Construction work was started for a residential Secondary School at Lumdung village.
Proposed name of the School : Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Lumdung
Foundation Stone was laid by the Chief Minister honorable Sri Pema Khandu along with Union Minister honorable Sri Kiren Rijiju and Swami Bodhasaranandaji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission on 9^th October 2018
A non residential primary School Ramakrishna Mission Shishu Vidyamandir, Lumdung was started on 11^th September 2018 to nurture the local children
First Managing Committee was formed on 23^rd September, 2018

Year 2020

Seven School buildings were under construction which are ongoing in 2021 as well.

Boys’ Academic Block: (Vivekananda Bhavan) This Boys’ Academic Block has been identified as Vivekananda bhavan as a commemoration to Swami Vivekananda the unanimous National Youth Leader of our country .

Girls’ Academic Block : (Ma Sarada Bhavan) The Girls’ Academic Block is dedicated with the name of Holy Mother Sarada Devi because the rise of women power in a perfect positive direction one can get from the life story of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi .

Activity Block : (Nivedita Bhavan) This is the Laboratory cum Auditorium block for the students. The block has been named as Nivedita Bhavan to commemorate her sesquicentennial birth anniversary in 2017 when our center was started at Lumdung

Dispensary Block : (Akhandananda Bhavan) This block will be used for Health Care of local people and hence the Service Activity will for ever remind us the passion of Swami Akhandanandaji for his great unselfish service to the society.

Computer block : (Vijnanananda Bhavan) This vocational training centre is named after Swami Vijnanananda who was a technical person and was the architect of the all time great temple of Sri Ramakrishna at Belur Math, Howrah.

Admin Block:(Saradanand Bhavan) This Administrative Building is named after the pioneer Administrator Swami Saradananda who was the first Executive Head of Ramakrishna Mission organization .

Kitchen Block : (Premananda Bhavan) Kitchen cum Dining block is consider the mother’s abode which is dedicated to Swami Premananda who had a wonderful loving heart and motherly affection.

Year 2022

A formal inauguration is planned so that Classes under CBSE board may start in early 2023 from Class 6 onward.
