Religious Activities
In the Shrine, Arati forms the daily activity in the Ashrama. On every Ekadashi days, after the evening Arati, a fortnightly Ramanam Sankirtan is chanted. Monks, Brahamacharis, and other inmates of the Ashrama avail of the sacred environment at the shrine.Birthday Tithipujas Celebrations of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna with special puja, discourses and bhajans, are held according to the Vishuddha Siddhanta Panjika and schedule of Ramakrishna Math, Belur.
Besides these Our Mission,Lumdung conducts special worship, Bhagavan Sri Krishna on Sri Krishna Janmasthami; Sri Sri Durga Puja, Sri Sri Kali Puja, Sri Sri Saraswati Puja ,Maha Shivaratri, Gurupurnima and Lord Jesus Christ on Christmas Eve (By singular coincidence, the Ramakrishna Order of Sannyasins was founded on 24th December 1887). Devotional Songs and occasional lectures are also performed during every occasion. Prasad is distributed on the occasion of the each Puja. Devotees from far and wide keenly participate in these auspicious occasions irrespective of caste, creed and religion, which are observed with due solemnity. Revered Secretary Maharaj, Ramakrishna Mission Lumdung, delivers a lecture on each auspicious occasions.
Sri Sri Durga Puja
Every year on the occasion of Sri Sri Durga Puja, special puja of Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Deva, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and the Devine Mother Sri Sri Durga are held on with also reading from Sri Sri Chandi, Devotional Songs, Bhajan, Aratrika.
Sri Sri Kali Puja and Deepawali
The Kali Puja is celebrated traditionally on Diwali night with animage of Mother Kali at our Lumdung centre. Worship of the Divine Mother Kali accompanied with devotional songs (Kali Kirtana) continues along with that.Devotees participated in the special puja and received prasad in the early hours after the worship. The whole Lumdung mission campus is decorated with contemporary led-lights, candles, conventional earthen-lamps (diyas) on this auspicious Deepawali festival. The majestic appeal of the Diwali festival brings the joy and enthusiasm among the local tribe community, mission staffs and devotees.This fabulous festival fireworks play a significant role in increasing its charm among all and everybody enjoy the fireworks like twinkling Anars, furious Rockets, vibrant Sparklers, cyclonic Ground Discs (phirki), and so .

X-mas Eve Celebration
X-mas eve is also celebrated at our shrine. On this occasion, a special puja is performed for Jesus Christ and a meeting is organised to the discuss the life of Jesus. Our Revered Secretary Maharaj delivers a lecture on the life and teaching of Jesus Christ.
Sri Sri Saraswati Puja
On the auspicious day of shree panchami, the students and staffs of the Ramakrishna Shishu Vidyamandir Lumdung assemble in the School to pay homage to the deity of knowledge, art and creativity -- Holy Mother Saraswati since 2019 .With the desire of gaining academic success and prosperity, the deity is worshipped on this propitious tithi.
The rituals of the worship reflect the eternal sense of devotion and traditional way of praying to the almighty for the success of an individual and an establishment as a whole. The enchanting of hymns and prayers intertwined with the fragrance of the puja accessories make the whole atmosphere heavenly. Music plays an indispensable role of expression and unification of the people in all the ceremonies of the Ramakrishna Mission Lumdung. Thus, the Saraswati puja finds its benevolence in the music. The ritual of 'Mangaal Aarti and Pushpanjali' leaves a serene touch of celestial pleasure in the viewer’s mind. Prasad distribution process follows a systematic order such that no one returns empty handed.
Maha Shivaratri
Maha Shivaratri is celebrated at our mission centre with the special Puja and Homa . It is a festival celebrated annually and observed by remembering Shiva with chanting prayers, fasting, and meditation. Besides that Puja is also performed visiting one of the nearest Shiva temple at SEPPA, East Kameng, AP.
Cultural Activities
Cultural activities come into play an integral part of a student’s overall development. Ramakrishna Shishu Vidyamandir celebrates various cultural activities from time to time to provide an opportunity to the budding talent to showcase it to the world since its inception on 11th September 2018. It provides a remarkable threshold to the students to groom themselves in all aspects and present their unique talent. The students participate with full zeal and vigour while keeping the competitive spirits high. Encouraging students to participate in cultural activities is the most effective way to inculcate personality-related skills and it enables them to gain confidence and understand their culture in a much better way. Some of the important cultural activities in schools are: Local festival celebration, National Youth Day, Inter School Cultural Competition, Painting Competitions, Exhibition and workshop, Drama etc.
National Youth Day
National Youth Day on the 12th of January, which is also known as Vivekananda Jayanti and Yuva Diwas is observed by our Lumdung mission centre. Vivekananda’s life and teachings are a source of great inspiration for young minds. Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary was declared National Youth Day by the Government of India in 1984. Our Shishu vidyamandir’s students, local tribal youths, many other youth organizations, study circles and diverse ethnic groups take part with great enthusiasm in this grand celebration. A colourful procession with Tableau is observed in various points of Seppa town on this occasion. The District Administration, Seppa is sincerely collaborate to make the occasions more effective. All the participants are served with Tiffin by Ashrama. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of it's people, culture and achievements was also celebrated along with National Youth Day on 12th January 2022.
Inter – School Cultural Competition
The object of this hugely popular cultural competition is to spread the message of Swami Vivekananda with special focus on his ‘man – making and character – building education’, which is the need of the hour. Our Vidyamandir organized it first ever Inter – School Cultural Competition on 28th March 2022. A large number of students from different schools of seppa town Lal Bahadur Shastri Vidya Niketan-I, Children’s Wonderland Residential School, Goodwill English Medium School, Government Secondary School, Lumdung, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Wessang, including our school took part in Story Telling , Recitation, Quiz on General knowledge, Essay Writing, Drawing competitions.
